At the rear of the base we have located a ‘spring loaded safety prop’, so should you inadvertently place the planer on your workbench after use (with the blades still spinning), the ‘safety prop’ will minimise the risk of damage to the bench or workpiece by helping to keep the spinning blades off the surface.
