Description
This mower is very powerful all steel deck, Professional quality - BMC 17” (42cm) Lawn Racer self-propelled 139cc petrol engine driven lawn mower.
Yes, this amazing mower has a might Wolf 139cc engine fitted – a size which many manufacturers fit to their 20” mowers and not usually smaller models. So with BMC using this incredible engine on a 17” mower ensures that you will always have adequate power irrespective of the terrain (within reason) and length of the grass.
BMC mowers have full drive speed control to enable you to mow at a speed to suit you. So if you want to amble along whilst mowing – it’s not a problem, you can do it. Conversely, if you enjoy a brisk walk to accompany your mowing – well yes you guessed it – with a BMC mower, it’s not a problem, you can do it. It’s all at finger- tip control.
The BMC 17” Lawn Racer mower is a 3 in 1 mower. It will cut and drop, it will cut and collect into the 45L capacity grass bag and it will mulch ( by using the supplied mulching plug).
If you are considering whether to buy a petrol mower or a battery lawn mower this year for your medium to large sized lawn, you’ll soon find that a petrol mower will usually do it faster, and at a lower purchase price too.
Consider this story:
2 youthful old boys and their new mowers:
Mike and Gordon each have 1000 square metre lawns next to each other ( each equivalent to approx. 3 tennis courts) with 40mm tall grass, which is just ready for topping off and neatening up.
How long will it take the 17” BMC petrol mower to cut Mike’s 1000 square metres compared with how long a typical 40v Cordless battery powered mower will take to cut its 1000 square metre lawn?
Mike is using his new BMC 17” petrol mower which has a full tank full of petrol. Gordon in the meantime places his fully charged 40v battery into his typical Cordless mower and they both make their way the their lawn, stand and wait.
They look at each other and Gordon looking at his watch shouts across ‘it’s 12 O’Clock’;
‘Ready, Steady, GO GO GO !’
Both men get off to a great start – despite Gordon having to hand push his battery mower along he is progressing well - for the moment at least. Mike with his BMC 17” Lawn Racer is so relaxed. Whilst his mower is not only giving a smooth clean cut, it’s powering itself along with its built in self- propelled drive taking all the hard work out of his mowing.
Both men travel along neck and neck for the first 35 minutes, but 5 minutes later, Gordon’s battery mower stops.
‘OH NO !’ Shouts Gordon – ‘My battery is flat’.
Gordon motions across to Mike ‘I need to re- charge my battery’ and he disappeared indoors to do just that.
Meanwhile Mike continued for a further 10 minutes before his tank ran dry. Within 5 minutes he had refilled his BMC Lawn Racer and continued mowing, finishing his lawn 20 minutes later.
The time is now 1.15pm and time for lunch at the pub.
It took Mike just 75 minutes from start to finish with 1 ‘pit stop’ of 5 minutes to refuel.
But where is Gordon?
Well 90 minutes after his battery ran flat, it’s fully recharged, refitted and at 2.10pm Gordon carried on mowing completing his lawn after a further 30 minutes at 2.40pm, tired ( because he didn’t have a self-propelled function on his battery mower), fed up because he was too late for the pub lunch and bitterly regretting that he didn’t buy a BMC petrol driven Lawn Racer Mower as Mike had.
The moral – Always buy a reliable, easily serviceable BMC Lawn Racer Mower – A BMC won’t make you late !
